MiQLab Bacterial & AMR Test Study

Rapid and accurate identification of disease-causing bacterial pathogens in companion animals can aid veterinarians in administering effective treatment plans. Traditional culture and sensitivity testing can give valuable insight regarding these pathogens, however, there is still a long turnaround time associated with results.

To tackle this problem, LexaGene performed a study to assess the use of the MiQLab™ Bacterial and AMR test for rapid detection of bacterial pathogens causing Urinary Tract Infections in dogs.

The results demonstrated the MiQLab Bacterial and AMR test has very high sensitivity and specificity and compares well with traditional culture, which can empower veterinarians to make quick evidence-based treatment decisions in clinic.
