LexaGene describes the technology behind our fully automated, open access pathogen detection device, the LX6. The instrument can process up to six liquid samples at a time, and returns results in about one hour. Using microfluidics, the instrument concentrates pathogens and then purifies the DNA and RNA before assembling and performing 22 qPCR tests. Its open access feature allows end users to load their own assays onto the instrument for customized genetic testing.
